Partners Worldwide is a (501C 3 non profit) faith-based international partnership of business and professional people who want to follow Jesus Christ in eliminating poverty and transforming lives. Our approach is to grow businesses and create jobs in areas of need, through the following activities:

• Developing Business Partnerships;
• Offering Business Mentoring and Training;
• Increasing Access to Capital;
• and Advocating on Behalf of the Poor, as described below.

Business Partnerships are at the heart of our work. Businesspeople with like minds and hearts around the globe are connecting through Partners Worldwide business affiliates. This growing network of affiliates throughout North America, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe are then linked in partnerships that create synergy and innovative solutions for economic growth and community transformation in regions of need. Business Mentoring and Training is available through Partners Worldwide members, partner organizations and affiliates. Our members “walk alongside” businesses, as they grow, support their families, create jobs, and transform communities. Mentoring and training services may include the following, depending on local needs and member resources:

Access to Capital continues to be one of the greatest challenges for growing entrepreneurs around the world. In at-risk communities, the financial institutions and resources for small and medium businesses may be non-existent. Partners Worldwide focuses on sourcing and building on strong micro-credit programs to grow the “missing middle.” The missing middle of an economy includes the micro-entrepreneurs, small, and medium businesses with growth potential that have out-grown the micro-credit resources but cannot yet access formal banking sector resources. In addition to the business mentoring and training services described above, Partners Worldwide provides a dynamic source of matching funds through our business affiliates. This fund, the Global Small Business Growth Fund (the Global Fund) provides matching funds to local business savings and investments—tripling the investment for business growth and global jobs. Advocate on Behalf of the Poor
Through long-term partnerships and relationships, Partners Worldwide members listen and learn about the complex environments and global issues of poverty. Through these experiences, our members feel called to work on and support policies that provide a more level playing field for the poor and broader access to opportunities. Members have given testimonies to their elected officials on topics from agricultural trade to travel restrictions that shape the lives of our member businesses around the globe. Partners Worldwide board and members have taken positions and raised support for the Africa Trade and Growth Act, forgiveness of developing countries unpayable debt, and passing of the Millenium Fund for developing countries. Partners Worldwide newsletters, e-mail updates, and conferences will continue to highlight emerging policy issues and potential ways for each of you to make your voice heard on key issues for our members worldwide.
