PovertyCure exists to facilitate the global conversation on poverty and equip its participants with resources that promote lasting, enterprise-based solutions that affirm the role of individuals and families
in turning around their situations. PovertyCure believes every human bears the image of God
and should be treated with dignity. With that vision in mind, PovertyCure advocates our idea to help
end poverty, by teaching people how to use their full human potential and raises awareness for the
fight to end poverty. They promote Partners Worldwide as a way to get hands-on involvement in
Partners Worldwide was also involved in the production of Poverty, Inc., a documentary produced
by PovertyCure. Poverty, Inc. unearths an uncomfortable side of charity we can no longer ignore.
The documentary has 30 film festival honors and received 11 (and counting) awards, including the
prestigious Templeton Freedom Award.
World Renew envisions a world where people experience and extend Christ’s compassion and live
together in hope as God’s community. Their mission is to engage God’s people in redeeming resources
and developing gifts in collaborative activities of love, mercy, justice, and compassion.
Serving worldwide as the development, disaster response, and justice arm of the Christian Reformed
Church in North America (CRCNA), the aspects of World Renew’s work are three-fold: community
development, disaster response and rehabilitation, and advocacy. Growing out of World
Renew, which was then Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, Partners Worldwide is a close
partner with World Renew.
HOPE International’s mission is “To invest in the dreams of families in the world’s underserved communities as we proclaim and live the Gospel.” They do this by providing Biblically based training, savings services, and loans that restore dignity and break the cycle of poverty. They work on four continents and have served over 950,000 clients through two primary models: microfinance institutions and Savings and Credit Associations (SCAs).
With our missions so closely aligned, we are thrilled to call HOPE International not only friends, but partners. We have worked together on business training initiatives in Ukraine and Congo, and see the potential of partnering together in many other places.
The Alliance to End Hunger is a coalition of over 90 members—corporations, non-profits, faith-based organizations, universities, foundations, international organizations, and individuals. While driving factors may vary among membership, there is a shared conviction that addressing hunger and poverty is essential.
The Alliance’s work is based upon four pillars: Fostering Strategic Partnerships, Building Political Commitment, Hunger Free Communities Initiative, and the National Alliance Partnership Program. Partners Worldwide became an official member of The Alliance to End Hunger in 2017, driven by our belief that in order for all to have life and life abundantly, all people must have their basic needs met, including the need for adequate food and nutrition. We address this issue from our unique approach of partnering with local institutions to promote business growth and job creation to end poverty and hunger.
