Global Partnerships creates economic opportunity for people living in poverty, helping them access the resources they need: capital, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, to generate their own sustainable income and positive momentum in their lives. They believe that business leaders and business-based approaches are a key ingredient to making this happen. This organization works primarily in Central America.

MEDA is an association of Christians in business and the professions committed to addressing human needs around the world through business-oriented economic development programs, and to applying biblical teachings in the marketplace. They do this by building sustainable, locally-owned institutions and businesses that are not dependent on charity for survival, promoting entrepreneurial and business-oriented solutions to poverty, and providing loan and marketing assistance to the world’s poor.

Partners of the Americas has evolved into 120 volunteer chapters linked in 60 partnerships. Chapters in U.S. states form partnerships with chapters in countries or states in Latin America and the Caribbean. Each volunteer chapter is organized as a private, nonprofit institution with by-laws and regularly-elected officers. Partnerships build cultural awareness, respect and camaraderie. They create and implement projects that improve the quality of life of others. And they become leaders in their respective communities.
