Gitithia Rural Agro-Finance Group is a community rooted network of Christian entrepreneurs who share the goal to reduce poverty through agricultural business development. Formed in 1993, Gitithia now operates in 10 rural regions of Kenya with over 2500 members. These members have unique access to capital and are members of 200 small cell groups for accountability and local mentoring. Since 2005, North American partners and local partners have assisted Gitithia with strategic planning, business development and technology training.

Though small in stature, Hannah Njeri stands tall as a beacon of light for those adrift in a high tide of hardship.
Outside Nairobi in the town of Nakuru, Hannah has been a member of the local business affiliate, Gitithia, since 2005. With an initial loan of $700, she began building rental houses with the goal to quickly pay off the loan, and create jobs for extended family and friends.
