A seminary with over 30 students, Reformed Institute of Theological Training (RITT) offers a work-study 3-year program in both theological and agricultural training. By training the emerging leaders of the rural church, RITT is committed to a holistic approach of community development, preparing future pastors and their spouses to strengthen marginalized communities and congregations throughout Kenya in ways that meet both spiritual and physical needs.

In 2009, a young Kenyan woman transformed a seminary campus when she accepted a job offer—farm manager at RITT (Reformed Institute of Theological Training).
Philomena Serem, who holds a diploma in agricultural studies, first heard of RITT when she read the advertisement for the job in the local newspaper. For years, the 60-acre farm surrounding the RITT campus was marginally productive.
